Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) is improving its data collection process from the wood processing and manufacturing sector to ensure the sector’s contribution to New Zealand is better understood by government and stakeholders. The first stage of MPI’s wood processing and manufacturing sector data improvement journey is to update an incomplete and out of date directory of commercial wood processors and manufacturing entities. It is not intended to replace the quarterly or annual production survey that some stakeholders may receive. This information will be used to be more effective at contacting the right entities at the right frequency, reducing individual response burden.
Sharing your information with us will allow MPI to maintain more accurate information to inform evidence-based policy and decisions that may impact your industry. It will also ensure that MPI has a direct line of communication with your entity to enable sharing key information or opportunities if required.
The below survey contains 7 compulsory questions and 3 voluntary questions about your company details and 1 compulsory and 3 voluntary questions about your processing locations and capacity. If you have more than one processing location please ensure that you have added each location. The survey should take 2-5 minutes depending on the size and complexity of your entity. Starting the survey is voluntary and you can stop at anytime. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Kyle Wills (kyle.wills@wsp.com).
Contact information and output volumes will NOT be made public. You determine whether processing locations and activities remains private with MPI, or allow MPI to share as part of collated industry information. The data is being collected on behalf of MPI and will only be used within MPI, unless stated otherwise. Strict procedures are followed to store and secure data and protect your privacy. Data from incomplete surveys will be retained unless edited or deleted. You can elect to withdraw or edit your information at anytime via a link provided via email upon completion.
By pressing start you acknowledge that you have read the privacy terms and consent to take part.Entity name, locations and product offering can be collated with responces from other survey participants and shared by MPI to promote the capabilities of the wood processing and manufacturing sector and to highlight the sector's contribution to New Zealand.
Individual processing capacity and contact information will NOT be publicly shared.
